Please note that the Architect Series and Proline Series windows currently do not meet the energy star rating to qualify for the credit. This rating is based on the glass only, and not on the whole window(sash and frame.) This is not to discourage our customers from the Architect and Proline Series windows, these windows are still very efficient and energy star rated, and will certainly increase the comfort level of the home and decrease your heating costs. As with any job, the most efficient window improperly installed can leak as much air as a low quality window or door. In our ongoing effort to make sure the homes we work on are as efficient as possible, we have been working with George Zentz and his company Attic Insulation and Ventilation Pro. George specializes in attic insulation and ventilation. If your attic is not properly insulated and breathing freely, you will lose energy through your ceiling, your roof may be deteriorating prematurely, or mold may be forming in the attic. This is an issue that homeowners often overlook as it is not an obvious or often talked about issue that homes of all ages may be experiencing. This is often a problem even in some of today's newer homes. Some builders would cut corners on material to increase the profitability of the homes. One area this is particularly easy to hide is the attic, a place that is not directly obvious to day to day activity. Currently, our small fleet of business vehicles is becoming more and more fuel efficient. As leases come up and older vehicles are being replaced, we are switching over to smaller and/or more efficient engines in the vehicles to lessen our impact on the environment.  We have been trying to get quotes out to our customers via email as opposed to the postal service as this saves paper, postage, and time.
